Corey Hobbs, Agency Principal
Corey is a fourth generation Central Floridian and is married to Stacey with two children, Lilly (6) and Noah (5). Prior to Corey’s insurance career, he attended the University of Florida, majoring in criminology and law, and was a member of the 2006 and 2008 Florida Gator national championship football teams as an offensive lineman. Corey prides himself on his ability to analyze weaknesses in insurance programs and client’s business risks overall, and developing improvements to those insurance programs to offset those risks. He looks forward to applying that mindset to the support of the underserved business in the Greater Orlando area.
Alex Thompson, Agency Principal
Alex was born and raised in Central Florida and enjoys an extensive personal network in the community. Alex enjoys the strategy behind insurance program structure with respect to business profitability and analysis, and always aims to keep that in mind when creating and servicing his client's programs. Alex attended High Point University on a soccer scholarship, and returned to Central Florida with a Bachelors in Business Administration and Management. Alex is married to Amanda, originally from Iowa, and has three children; Jimmy (8), Charlie (4) and Gwen (2).
Richard Bryan, Agency Principal
A second generation Central Floridian, Richard was born in Orlando, raised in Mount Dora and returned to Central Florida to obtain a bachelor's degree at the University of Central Florida with a major in Public Administration. Prior to his work in the insurance business, Richard successfully managed and produced in several local banks for 16 years and most recently led the Central Florida Region for retail and business banking at a mid-sized community bank. Richard prides himself on his attention to detail and relationship building skills, all of which have allowed him to successfully grow and retain his business throughout his professional career. Richard and his wife Lindsay will be celebrating 25 years of marriage this year along with their 3 children.
Alexander van den Berg Jr., Commercial Insurance Agent
Alex is a third generation Central Floridian, born and raised in Winter Park. Prior to Alex joining the Cypress Risk team, he held multiple progressive sales positions with TK Elevator in the Southeast. Alex is a graduate of Florida State University, majoring in Economics with a minor in Entrepreneurship, and was involved in Kappa Alpha Order in various leadership roles throughout his college career. Alex prides himself on his attention to detail, tireless work ethic, and prompt & professional communication to ensure customers get the highest level of service at the best possible rates. He is excited to bring these skills and his experience to an independent insurance agency to focus on improving underserved local business in Central Florida.
